Poem On Not Buying Flowers For My Love

I long to buy you flowers, my love,
And show you how I feel,
But my heart's so full, it overflows,
And words can't quite reveal.
I know that flowers are the way,
To show love, sweet and true,
But every time I try to buy,
My heart just stops anew.
For every petal that I choose,
Every bloom so bright and fair,
Feels like it falls so short and plain,
To express how much I care.
So instead, I'll try to show,
Through every little thing,
My love for you, it shines so bright,
Like sunbeams in the spring.
I'll make you breakfast in the morn,
And hold you tight at night,
I'll whisper words of love and praise,
Till all the stars alight.
And though I can't buy you flowers,
My love for you will grow,
And every day, in every way,
My heart will overflow.
